Boxing‘s “next big thing” found himself in a bit of trouble last night (March 18) when Miami’s Dade Police arrested the WBC Lightweight champion for battery. Adrien Broner, 23, boasts an undefeated record (26-0) in the ring but could now face severe penalties for allegedly biting a security guard outside of Club LIV on Monday night. According to Miami Beach police, the Boxer nicknamed “The Problem” was tussling with another man outside of the popular nightclub when security guards came to break up the fight. It was then, police say Broner bit one of the guard’s on the forearm and was later apprehended. Both men were charged with misdemeanor simple battery, which under Floridian law can be penalized by up to one year in jail or twelve months probation. Broner was released on a $1,500 bond and took to Twitter to express his sentiments over the situation. “They trying to keep a N*gga lock down in MIA,” he tweeted. The tweet has since been deleted, but Broner’s mugshot, which he posted on Instagram, is still viewable on the web. He was acquitted of all charges.
